Men! Remember that this Saturday is our first ever, Men's Potluck Breakfast! If your wife INSISTS, it would probably be ok to let her make a little something...but let's show our culinary skills and have some fun with it! Of course, if all else fails, there is always doughnuts....😁 Please bring your food already cooked as we are not planning on cooking Saturday. See you then!

Also from today's sermon, here are the four ideas to help you get started in your daily prayer time. We would love to hear what works for you, or which idea you are going to try. Find a time -- Decide what time of day you will specifically focus to be still and pray Find a method -- Make a list, write out your prayers, or just sit silent and focus on God Find a posture -- Laying down, sitting, kneeling, walking, driving in the car (eyes on the road, lol) Find a partner -- Having someone to pray with makes prayer meaningful, and holds us accountable

Here are the four prayer guides through the Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 9:9-13 from today's sermon... 1) Spend a moment praying to your heavenly Father, asking Him to help you to trust him and just tell him what is on your heart (Matt. 6:9) 2) Spend some time asking God to use you in helping those around you to know Him. Mention people by name that you know need a relationship with Christ, and ask Him to give you opportunities to share His love for them (Matt. 6:10) 3) Spend time praying that God will meet your physical needs and that He will meet your spiritual needs. Pray also that God will meet the needs of those around you (Matt. 6:11) 4) Pray for forgiveness. Pray for unconfessed sin and pray that God will deliver you from temptation and sinful habits in your life. Pray and ask God to help you to accept forgiveness from those that have harmed you (Matt. 6:12-13)

Please plan on joining us tomorrow night (Friday, July 12th) at the church as we are going to have a great night of music and an outdoor movie! We will have some live music by our very own Mt. Gilead Praise Band starting at 7:30, followed by the movie "Run the Race" at around 8:30. Please bring a lawnchair, and we will have complementary popcorn and drinks. Tomorrow night at 7:00 pm come out to the fair grounds and make your way to the Band Shell! Our Worship team will be playing and Pastor Tim will be sharing a devotional.

This Sunday we will begin a Series about the "The Sermon on the Mount". This "sermon" is chucked full of many topics that Jesus addressed and we will be picking out some of the highlights. We hope that you will join us as we dig into these very interesting teachings of Jesus! See you Sunday!

Truly excited about what God is doing at our church! People are truly beginning to see the value of discipleship, and God is bringing us people to help in areas of need! It is all for His Kingdom so....shoulders to the wheel!!
